Chris Epting: Tajal is currently travelling east along the southern edge of the Cha'zali'rajmi towards the Mi'rola'vami. I met a patrol when I decended the mountain and they were curious about what I was doing. They appeared relieved when I decided to head east out of their lands. I am currently travelling on the northern edge of Majarai's lands. I have spent several nights at small inns or at villagers houses. These were often tense evenings as the villagers were often suspicious of me. My role as a priest stopped them from attempting to rob me.
Lincoln Silk: The crisp dawn greets you as the plains empty themselves of shadows.
Lincoln Silk: The light shows the grain shimmering in the slight breeze.
Lincoln Silk: The innkeeper is up and bringing in wood to start the ovens. He will have fresh buns to go with breakfast in one hour.
Chris Epting: I say a final prayer to chal slowly turning as I pray to acknowledge all of Chal's creation, ending facing the rising sun. I fold up my prayer mat and go to the innkeeper.
Chris Epting: I breakfast and pay for the night and the food.
Chris Epting: I will travel the dirt road towards the mighty river.
Lincoln Silk: The night was paid before you slept. He grunts acknowledgement of your drops. He lets you know it is only one full day's walk to Mi'rola'vami for one who leaves promtly.
Chris Epting: I bless him and his family and travel east
Lincoln Silk: You have been passing more people and carts as you get closer to the river. The folk are generally happy as there is no fighting in this area of the Empire. The city of Ma'elm lies halfway down the lands of Majarai.
Lincoln Silk: It is an old city, built of stone. The walls of the city jut out slightly over the water ensuring a ready supply of fresh water.
Chris Epting: Tajal looks for an inn near the docks.
Chris Epting: Side note the Aviz'amar were created two years after the Silimiri and the Fiest of Chal as a bid to maintain understanding of prophecies and head them off if possible. This was done as a prophecy regarding war against Kokorn and their mages was disregarded. The final straw was the assassination of the War Leader Arm'aji (yp114). The Aviz'amar was instrumental in suggesting the creation of the Shadow Mages to the Emperor Halasari.
Lincoln Silk: Ma'elm is known for its bakers, and weaponsmiths. In particular, Terifswar is famed and much sought after for his uniquely styled and crafted swords.
Chris Epting: I find a three story building that houses representative's of the Aviz'amar in Ma'elm.
Chris Epting: I present my credentials
Lincoln Silk: In it, a man accepts your credentials. He is pleased that you have arrived.
Chris Epting: Tam finds a boat ride down river
Lincoln Silk: He hands you a letter from Ti'imaj
Lincoln Silk: "Tajal,
Lincoln Silk: Tajal,
Chal speed you on your way. We have had further word about your quest. Apparently a very tall man was seen travelling with over 50 dogs, 5 deer, two lions, and a host of hawks and falcons near the Ji'ralja'vami. I am not sure who is drawing the connection, but it is odd, and thought to be connected to the tomb you are looking for.
