CaseOfTheMissingMap part 6
[prev: WildRideToFreedom]
We begin this session having landed at the southern bridge of . Volorn has rejoined us. We begin walking up the road. Afalar has wet pants and Sjer's dry shirt on. Ezra has his wet pants and Sjer's wet shirt on. Sjer has no shirt and dry pants on. Zali'haro is unconcious and beging held up by Ezra and Sjer. Volorn is ranging up ahead. We approach the first inn, The Hawk and Arrow is a two-storey building that is well-kept. It looks upscale for the neighbourhood.
Afalar heads in and gets us two rooms. He comes out and lets us know then heads back in. Ezra goes second and supports Zali with him. he gets some looks, but no one challenges. Then Sjer and Volorn makes their entry. Afalar , Sjer, and Volorn collapse in sleep immediately. Zali lies sleeping in his room, but Ezra heads out to find a doctor, a bath, and some clothes. He buys clothes outside from a tailor shop.
After a wonderful bath Ezra is directed to the services of a rather pricey surgeon. An appointment is made for the afternoon.
Then Ezra returns and rouses Zali'haro. The two of them then go down to the common room of the Hawk and Arrow and enjoy a fine meal.
Afterwards Zali returns to sleep and Ezra returns to the surgeon.
We talk amongst ourselves and decide to send a message to l'talus. We relocate to Island 19 and then Sjer heads out to deliver the letter. he disguises himself as the Braid and then charters a member of the Messenger's Guild for 1 rod.
It is Summer 73. It is late evening.
Sjer awaits in disguise as TheBraid?.
People come and go. Drunkards go by, they probably recognize the Braid, but that is the reason for the disguise.
After about 4 hours, a messenger from the guild comes by. It is not the same one that Sjer sent. He asks if I am waiting for a message. I confirm that I am and he reports, "Fool, meet at the Five Corners Inn in two days time."
The three other Sru'haro men were sound asleep. Sjer stays the night awake.
The next morning we talk about the Ta'har household. Apparently AlmTahar? had 4 sons, two of the sons are dead and that leaves two alive, unless we just killed one of them. Whether the one we killed is one of the two counted as dead we are unsure. Apparently the old man, IshmalTahar?'s, son is dead as well. That should leave us unrecognized despite our lack of success. With at least one son remaining, perhaps our debacle won't have any long term effects against Sru'haro. We can only hope.
