Child do your questions never stop? If you only put your imagination and doggedness to the here and now you might become great among the Sja'ji'am. I will answer your question to the best of my ability if only to stop your questions for a moment or two. The Il'fara are real creatures and if the rumours are true one of the Il'fara has visited Lie'lm twice in the last three years.
All reports speak of creatures that appear like tall slender humans. Their skin is extremely pale, almost transulent, while their hair is invariably jet black and their eyes are large and pale in colour. Although they appear exotic the Il'fara are compelling creatures and are reported to be extremely graceful and beautiful to behold.
Let me finish before you ask again, patience is a virture that will serve you well if you ever acquire it. From what I have read most encounters with the Il'fara occur with one or two individuals when they chose to meet us. Some have suggested that the Il'fara we meet are either on a quest that only they can fathom. Other speculate that the Il'fara we meet are curious and seek to adventure in our lands. I suspect that both may be true. It has been suggested that the person known as Death may have Ilfara ancestory.
One tale has stayed with me for many years and it is the account of Sja'ji'am Ishal Alara some 200 years ago. He was with a party hunting the rare Mal'oraz in the forests near the Sh'ela'rajmi, when they came across a clearing. In the clearing stood a stood a stone archway. Alara describes the archway as being twice the height of a man and half as wide. On the archway were a series of pictures and runes. The archway led nowhere and it was possible to walk through it. However after she begun to investigate the runes, probing them with her shadow, ten or so Il'fara emerged from the archway and attacked the hunting party. All were slain and were dragged out of the clearing. Alara managed to survive after being mortally wounded and brought her tale to the Assembly. However, her subsequent effort to find the archway were in vain.
We know little of their history or culture. Unfortunately the Church believes that they are agents of the Dark Praj (see Praj)and will destroy them on sight. Therefore they have increasingly rare in land of PiremEmpire.
No more questions child, it is time you studied your letters.
