Common Names in the Pirem Empire
These names are typical first names. Not everyone will have a last name, slaves, the bonded and poor will not have last names. Merchants, nobles and upper class have adopted the use of last names. Some of the middle class have started to use last names. These last names are typically derivations of the first names, houses or occupations. The last names of the nobles are often linked to ancient Mi’lar family and clan names. Some nobles and upper class individuals who are not of Mi’lar ancestry have changed their last names to mimic the Mi’lar language. Lastly a last name may reflect the town the person is from, may indicate who the persons father is, or may comment about the person.

• Imi - of the town . example: Emra imi Lielm
• Nar - the . example: Cafram nar Aem'fijsa (Cafram the Sandwalker)
