No other exit, it is spherical room. The water in the fountain is flowing and is the source of the preservation spell that is intact. The room was air tight before I pushed my way in. The stone cylinder is on a flat surface and is the pedestal on which the egg is lying. The egg is dead. The egg is two feet long, it is black with a metalic filagree.

I search the bodies on the floor, it is sterile except for the bodies and the collars. The bodies are short child sized.

The Pedestal has three bodies on it and there was room for two more. The detect magic spell allowed me to discern the strong magic, the preservation magic and an incomplete preservation magic (The pedestal). The cylinder is strongest source of magic.

Cast identify on the cylinder. It feels like the earth or stone itself. As I touch it is changes and reveals an myriad of runes and symbols.
